This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Payroll Hong Kong (PY-HK)component. It is called from the Eligibility and calculation of LSP/SP (HKLSP) payroll function.

The BAdI method UPDATE_DATE enables you to define your own logic to specify the hire date and fire date to calculate the length of service for severance payment or long service payment (SP/LSP).

You implement this BAdI definition if both of the following conditions apply:

  • The SAP standard processes do not suit your needs.
  • You are a competent ABAP/4 programmer.

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple users), see the Enhancement Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).
