The meaning of the five-character absence codes in the Hungarian personal calendar is as follows:

  • Character 1: Absence type; possible values are:
  • T: Own sick pay

  • P: Household allowance

  • B: Accident sick pay

  • H: Maternity leave

  • D: GYED

  • R: Adoptation fee

  • S: GYES

  • Character 2: Absence subtype; the possible values depend on the value of position 1:
  • In case of T (own sick pay)

- 0: Illness w/o certification
- 1: Hospital care
- 2: Non hospital care
- 4: Sanitary forbiddance
- 5: Veterinary quarantine
- 6: Hospital care - high-risk pregnancy
- 7: Non-hospital care - high-risk pregnancy
- 8: Hospital care instead of CSED
- 9: Non-hospital care instead of CSED
  • In case of P (household allowance)

- 1: Household allowance for the 1st child
- 2: Household allowance for the 2nd child
...
  • In case of B (accident sick pay)

- 1: Industrial accident
- 2: Industrial accident - previous continued
- 3: Underway accident
- 4: Underway accident - previous continued
- 5: Occupational disease
- 6: Occupational disease - previous continued
  • In case of H (maternity leave)

- 1: (maternity leave for the 1st child
- 2: (maternity leave for the 2nd child
...
  • In case of D (GYED)

- 1: GYED 1st child
- 2: GYED 2nd child
...
  • In case of R (ÖFD)

- 1: ÖFD 1st child
- 2: ÖFD 2nd child
...
  • In case of S (GYES)

- 1: GYES 1st child
- 2: GYES 2nd child
...
  • Character 3: Absence status; possible values are:
  • E: First day of starting absence

  • I: Starting absence, not first day

  • F: Continued absence

  • H: Starting absence after 3 months

  • J: Continued absence, after 3 months

  • Character 4: Wage type generation control code; possible values are:
  • B: Sick leave

  • 1: SI service according to absence type, 1st level

  • 2: SI service according to absence type, 2nd level

  • S: Unpaid, certified sick pay (if no further entitlement to sick pay)

  • Character 5: Legal base of service; possible values are:
  • J: Entitled based on examination

  • M: Entitled based on equity

  • N: Entitled based on passive right

  • 0: Not entitled

  • W: Entitled for twin-child (only for GYES)
