SAP E-Book

In this step you define the required wage types in order to manage the information related to:

  • standard days/month (number of days by which the remuneration is divided);
  • standard days/accrual (number of days by which the pay for accruals is divided, i.e. Christmas bonus, Summer bonus, etc.);
  • gross-calculation percentage;
  • net-calculation percentage;
  • the group of wage types which contain the data for daily average remuneration as an alternative to the standard days indicated above;
  • the group of wage types which contain the data required to calculate the pay for worked hours.

The data related to these wage types are displayed in the view activated by clicking on each element in the INPS (Social Security) general data table.

Provided by SAP.

The SAP table already includes the case according to which allowances for protected absences are paid.

The net-calculation/gross-calculation percentages are necessary to determine the amount of the possible integration charged to the company.

The sickness and/or maternity allowance is calculated and paid net of INPS contributions. For this reason, in order to calculate the value of the possible integration correctly, it is necessary to carry out a gross-calculation of the sickness/maternity allowance or a net-calculation of the remuneration that would have been paid if the employee had worked.

In addition to this, the system calculates the average hourly pay necessary for INPS allowance determination in the following way:

  • calculation of remuneration/worked hours: basic pay + due variables - withholding variables - withholding for new hired employees;
  • calculation of daily remuneration: pay for worked hours / standard days/month;
  • calculation of daily remuneration/accruals: (accrual amount 1-4 / standard days/accrual);
  • calculation of daily average remuneration: daily remuneration + daily remuneration/accruals multiplied by INPS reimbursement percentage (the current percentages are 50% and 66,66%).
