In this step the calculation of jumps with a maximum split number ceiling is determined.

This kind of jumps is currently used in the oil industry.

The evaluation codes of amount-based jumps with a maximum split number ceiling are comprised between 30 and 39.

If a category comprises 5 jumps of ITL 10,000 each, a total amount of ITL 50,000 is obtained.

When a category change occurs, the accrued jumps are compared with the new amount of the single jump (ex: 15,000).

The result of the jump number accrued in the new category up to that moment will be 50,000:15,000 = 3.33333

When the new jump accrues in the current category the total jumps will be 4.3333333.

Therefore the subsequent accrual will be only a fraction-amount(0.66666666).

The table under examination calculates the amount of this fraction.

For example, the difference compared to the percentage-based jumps with a percentage-based maximum ceiling is that the base calculation is replaced by the amount of the single jump.
