In this step you define which hourly rates are to be formed during payroll accounting for individual persons. You must specify the valuation bases in which each wage type corresponding to factoring, that is, the wage types from infotype 0008, Basic Pay and some of the wage types from infotype 0014, Recur. Payments/Deduct., is to be used.

In the standard rule J010 and JBA2, two hourly rates are created in technical wage types /001 and /003.

There are 2 types of formula are provided:

  • Formula to calculate the valuation basis(/001, /003) per wage type and sum up them.
    (for processing class 01 = 1, 2 or 3)
  • Formula to calculate the total amount to be incorporated in the valuation basis(/0X1, /0X3) per WPBP split and calculate the valuation basis by using them.
    (for processing class 01 = 4, 5 or 6)

Here, the valuation basis will be calculated by division by the lump-sum hours of a period (Basic pay divisor field) from the Basic Pay infotype, or in the case of hourly wage earners, are derived from the amount of wage types.

  1. Decide which hourly rates you require.
  2. Copy the standard PC rules J010 and JBAS to Z010 and ZBAS.
  3. Define all necessary formula in PC rules Z010 and ZBAS. (Edit rules)
  4. Change the name of PC rules J010 and JBAS to Z010 and ZBAS in schema JAP0.
  5. Specify which valuation bases each wage type should be included in. (setting of processing class 01)

If you only need the valuation basis provided by the standard SAP system, skip steps 2 to 4.
