In this IMG activity, you use the temporal wage types for recording overtime data created in the original function When you change JKING processing from the original function to Flexible Payroll.

For example, when JKING =2, you change JKING processing from the original function to Flexible Payroll in March. In the original JKING function, you enter the overtime hours in March that an employee actually works in February. However, in the JKING function for Flexible Payroll, you enter the overtime hours in March that an employee actually works in March. Both the original JKING time data and Flexible Payroll JKING time data exist in March, so the system uses the temporal wage types to identify the time data created in the original function.

When JKING = 2 or JKING = 3 and when you switch from the original JKING function to the new JKING function in the system, you have to define the Customizing wage types.

Note: Hei Ran-applicable employees only use JKING =1 mode.

  1. Select Copy
  2. Choose Wage type group
  3. Enter the value of the wage type group, for example 4002 or 021C
  4. Select the target original time wage type
  5. Enter the Customizing wage type.
  6. Enter a validity period.
  7. Save your entries.

You can copy the original time wage type to your Customizing wage type as follows:

Original Wage Type Customizing Wage Type
M110 9T10
M111 9T11

  • All the new Customizing wage types have the same posting settings as the original wage types.
  • To record the old overtime data in the transit payroll period, enter these Customizing wage types in the Employee Remuneration Info infotype (2010).
