OHAJP_OT_003 - Define Overtime Accumulation in Payroll

In this Customizing activity, you define how the system evaluates the overtime wage types during payroll.

For a specific employee group for overtime accumulation, you make the following settings:

• Assign wage type (WT) groups

• Set accumulation sequence for each wage type group

• Set the lower limit of overtime hours for each WT group

• Determine the effective period for the limit

• Specify the cumulation period

For example, if you set cumulation period as Yearly, the system checks the accumulated overtime hours saved in the Cumulated Result Table (CRT) against the lower limit. And the system performs the checks for consecutive 12 payroll periods. In the 13th payroll period, the system clears the CRT and starts another round of accumulation for overtime hours.

You have completed the following Customizing settings for cumulation types:

• Define Cumulation Types

• Assign Cumulation Periods to Payroll Time Units

• Define Cumulation Periods

• Assign Cumulations to Wage Types

Note:

In this step, you must assign your own cumulation types to the technical wage type /OTAand /OTN.

This is an optional activity, applicable only for method B and D.
