In this step, you can specify the user wage types processed in Monthly Payroll for which you can set how the user wage types should be cumulated for Social Insurance liable gross. This is controlled by means of cumulation class 4, 7, 8 and 9.

A commuter allowance paid to an employee each month should be liable to social insurance.

The SAP standard delivery system contains following cumulation classes for social insurance liable gross:

4 Fixed compensation:
This cumulation class should be set for allowances which have fixed amount and paid every period.
7 Labor insurance liable pay:
This cumulation class should be set for allowances which is liable to labor insurance.
8 Monthly compensation:
This cumulation class should be set for allowances which are paid to an employee in the period and considered to be compensation. This includes fixed compensation.
9 Monthly compensation (benefits in kind):
This cumulation class is basically the same as the monthly compensation.
Differences is the benefits provided in kind should have this cumulation class set.

Note

How these cumulation classes set affects SANTEI/GEPPEN evaluation process. Before you start setting, please check social insurance related legal rules to know exactly what must be set.

To check and, if necessary, change the setting for cumulation classes, proceed as follows:

  1. Select a wage type and choose Detail.
  2. Check the specification for cumulation class 4, 7, 8 and 9 according to the legal rules.

The logical view that is linked to this step is called 22_SI001. For additional information on maintaining wage type using logical views, please see the section " Environment for maintaining wage types" under "Basic settings" in this implementation guide.
