In this step you convert deduction wage types that you maintained under Releases 3.0*, 3.1*, 4.0A, 4.0B, or 4.5A. If you have not used the deductions/balance functions in a release prior to 4.5B, then you can skip this step.

Up to and including Release 4.5A, processing class 66 was used for processing deductions. This processing class can no longer be used for this purpose. As of Release 4.5B, processing class 50 is used instead.

Personnel calculation rules KDPM, KDPI, KDPR, KDPT in subschema KMC0 and KDP0 have been substituted for international rules XDPM, XDPI, XDPR, XDPT to reflect this change. These rules check the values in processing class 50. The way these rules are called in subschemas KMC0 and KDP0 has been changed accordingly.

You need to convert the values for the deduction and balance wage types you maintained for processing class 66 in an earlier release to processing class 50. The values in processing class 66 for the deductions wage types then must be cleared. To do this, you have to run conversion program RPCDEDUC.

  • You have used the deduction/balance functionality in 4.5A or a prior release.
  • Your deduction wage types are already maintained in processing class 66.
  1. Run the conversion program (RPCDEDUC) to convert the values in processing class 66 to processing class 50.
Note: Make sure that you run the report for HCM Localization 07
  2. Check the conversion program log
  3. Check the call of rules XDPM, XDPI, XDPR, XDPT in subschema KDP0 and KMC0. If you already have your own copy of these rules, adjust the call of your rules in schema KDP0 and KMC0 and the decision performed within the rule itself to reflect the changes made during the conversion from 66 to 50.
