In this step you set up how amounts are estimated.

When we estimate we have to estimate fractions to divide up payments that belong to two accounting periods. This can be done on the basis of calendar days, working days or working hours. An employee modifier (accruals basis) is defined for these purposes.

In your company, estimates for wage earners have to be done on the basis of work days and estimates for salaried employees have to be done on the basis of calendar days. In this case you would set the value of the accruals basis modifier for wage earners to 'A' and for salaried employees to 'K'.

  1. Check how the accruals basis modifier should be set.
  2. Copy the standard personnel calculation rule KMOD to the personnel calculation rule ZMOD or use the copy which has been created in an earlier step.
  3. Define the decision tree as required.
  4. Change the callup of personnel calculation rule KMOD in schema KMO0 to the name of the copied personnel calculation rule that you just have created or check that you made changes in the copy which was created in an earlier step.

Carry out this step in direct consultation with the team responsible for setting up the payroll modifiers.
