In this Customizing activity, you assign the cumulation wage types used by your enterprise in payroll to the payment types tabulated in the Business Payrolls Survey (BPS). The activity below must be completed for each BPS payment type.

For a complete list of the BPS payment types, see Business Payrolls Survey Payment Types.

Execute this Customizing activity and proceed as follows:

  1. In the Wage Type field, enter the BPS payment type you want to maintain (for example BPA1, BPA2, and so on). If you leave this field blank, the system displays all BPS payment types.
  2. In the HCM Localizationfield, enter 07 (Canada)
  3. Choose Continue
  4. Choose New Entries
  5. Enter the following data for each applicable payment type:
  • Form: BPS1

  • Wage type: (the WT that corresponds to BPxx amounts)

  • Table: T

  • No.: 0

  • Wage type: BPxx

  1. Repeat this process for each remaining BPS payment type
  2. When complete, save your entries and choose Exit

BPxx refers to any payment type listed under Business Payrolls Survey Payment Types.

If your enterprise uses the sum of two or more wage types to account for the BPxx amount, then each wage type must be listed separately.

For example, if your enterprise stores Total hours worked and Absences separately by means of wage types MI01 and MI02, then you would enter the following data for payment type BPA4 (Total hours for employees including abences).

Form Wage type Table No. Wage type
BPS1 MI01 T 0 BPA4
BPS1 MI02 T 1 BPA4
BPS1 MI03 T 2 BPA4

For each wage type you assign to a payment type, increase the value in the No. field by one, as shown in the example above.
