Workers' Compensation is determined based on the employee's total accountable workers' compensation earnings.

  1. Adapt rule KMO1 as needed by adjusting the payroll modifier for workers' compensation (modifier KMOD-identifier 1). This allows you to include or exclude earnings within workers' compensation earnings with respect (for each province) to different groups of employees. See the rule doumentation for further information.
  2. Change schema KMO0 to reflect the new rule you adapted from KMO1.
  3. In the third activity, specify which earnings should be accounted for workers' compensation. Make this specification for each employee grouping (i.e., each KMOD-1 value). If taxable earnings are not maintained for the modifier specified (KMOD-identifier), the payroll modifier value '01' will be used as the default for defining the accountability of those earnings for workers' compensation.
  4. Maintain wage types in processing class 69.
