In this step, you define leave types and their accrual rules.

You require a new leave type to accrue leave for employees. The leave type and its accruing rules must first be defined.

You must have defined the leave type key. To do this, in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Personnel Time Management, navigate to Time Data Recording and Administration -> Managing Time Accounts with Attendance/Absence Quotas -> Managing Leave Using Leave Entitlement (0005) -> Absence Quotas -> Define Absence Types.

The Leave Accrual Rules view groups together fields that define the rules for leave accrual. The standard system contains model entries that you can use or copy.

Choose Edit -> New entries, and enter the relevant data according to your requirements.
