OHAQTAX00301 - Create Offset Codes

Employees within your organisation may be eligible to various tax offsets that are set by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

For example, a resident tax payer who contributes to the maintenance of one or more dependants may be entitled to a dependants offset. Alternatively, an employee who is classed as a resident of a specified remote area of Australia may be entitled to a zone offset.

In this step, you define any tax offset codes you require.

The ATO has introduced a new tax offset, and you now require a new offset code with a offset amount that differs from the amounts set up in the standard system.

The standard system contains the offset codes that have been used in current and previous financial years.

Create new entries according to your requirements

Any changes must be made in all clients as the table is client-dependent.
