In this step you create additional specifications for processing classes 62 (Creating wages types payable by MINDEF related to Fixed Allow.) and 63 (Creating wages types payable by MINDEF related to Variable Allow.) in order to create the correct MINDEF wage types during NRS data processing.

These processing classes are used in personnel calculation rules RNS0 (Creating wage types for calculating fixed allowances) and RNR0 (Creating wage types for calculating variable allowances) to determine which MINDEF wage type is to be created for an allowance.

RPCNRSR0 uses these wage types, as processed by the above mentioned rules, to determine the actual amount of the different payments that the employee can reclaim from MINDEF.

You have created an additional MINDEF wage type, 932$, which is to be used as the make up pay wage type for a fixed allowance wage type. To accomplish this, you create specification $ for processing class 62, assign specification $ for processing class 62 to the respective allowance wage type (step Check wage types), and adapt rule RNS0 accordingly (step Check processing for variable allowances).

SAP recommends that you read the documentation of the other steps of this section in order to gain an overview of the connections and dependencies between the respective activities you carry out in each of them.

Check whether you need additional specifications for processing classes 62 and 63. This will definitely be the case if you have created new MINDEF wage types for either fixed or variable allowances.

To create a new specification, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the applicable processing class in dialog window Select transaction.
  2. Select New entries.
  3. Enter the specification in field Value.
Elegible values for customer defined specifications are special characters like $, [, : etc. SAP's name range are all alphanumerical values.
  1. Enter a description.
  2. Save your entries.
