In this IMG activity, you enter the calculation rules that you want the function RUAVE to use when it determines an employee's average pay (see the documentation for function RUAVE).

You use the calculation rules in this IMG activity for situations when you do not have the required data about an employee's pay from previous payroll periods.

To cause function RUAVE to include only the days in the current period before the absence takes place, you must leave the Also current (Also take current period into account) field blank.

If the above process results in an average of zero, function RUAVE reads the wage type entered in the Wage Type field and uses the rate for this wage type in the table IT.

You employee a new employee, Elena Sorokin, on January 1 of the current year. Elena takes vacation from January 10 to January 15.

Elena's salary for the current payroll period, January, is as follows:
January 01 - January 09 = RUB 1,000 (5 days)
January 16 - January 31 = RUB 5,000 (10 days)

Since you can only base the average calculation on the current period, the function RUAVE uses a calculation rule in this IMG activity to calculate Elena's average pay before the absence in the current period:
January 01 to January 09: RUB 1,000 / 5 days = RUB 200 per day.
