In this Customizing activity, you determine how you want the system to calculate an employee's average pay.
The table below summarizes the options that you can use to calculate average pay:

| You want to calculate an employee’s average pay as follows: | NEWAV | If you enter parameter value Y, the system creates intermediate wage types (/V**) to store adjusted bonuses in payroll table RUAVE. |
| - You want to determine an employee’s bonuses in proportion to the time that the employee actually works (as opposed to the planned working time), except for bonuses that the system calculates based on an employee’s actual working time. | If you enter parameter value X, the system performs the same steps as for parameter value Y. In addition, the system also saves non-adjusted bonuses plus planned and actual working time (used to adjust bonuses) in payroll table RUAVE in the Calculation of Averages for Russia (RUAVE) function. | |
| If you enter parameter value P, the system performs the same steps as for parameter value X. In addition, the system independently processes each event that triggers the average calculation. | ||
| The employee's average pay is calculated in proportion to the current amount of each type of financing charge included in the average. | ||
| - You want to calculate an employee’s salary including any global pay scale increases. For example, assume that your company introduces a pay scale increase during an employee’s absence. The system takes into account the day of the pay scale increase when it determines the employee’s average absence pay. | If you use customer-specific reports to prepare data about average payments that read payroll table RUAVE, we recommend that you enter parameter value X. With both parameter values, the system adjusts some steps in the main personnel calculation schema (RUS0) for Russia. | |
| - You want to calculate an employee's average pay in proportion to the current amount of each type of financing charge included in the average. | ||
| You want to prepare your own reports to show the details of pay scale increases in your company. To enable the system to prepare this kind of data, the system stores the factor of the pay increase (to improve the accuracy, multiplied by 100,000) and retains the work center/basic pay (WPBP) split of the wage types that contain the pay increase. | RTEAV | Enter parameter value X. |
