In this IMG activity, you copy SAP model wage types to create your own wage types for use in sickness processing.

You use the copied wage types during subsequent processing. If required, you can adjust the characteristics of individual wage types during online processing.

You use this wage type catalog for reporting to the Social Insurance Fund. The Social Insurance Fund requires the amount of payment during periods of absence based only on an employee's seniority. The wage types in the Configure Wage Types (Reporting) section do not contain social insurance group data from the Additional Social Insurance Data infotype (0292).

The standard system contains model wage types. Only copy the standard wage types if they do not meet your requirements.

Copy wage types for sickness processing by copying the wage type catalog or by creating prototype wage types.

Note: When you copy wage types, you copy both the online processing characteristics and the characteristics associated with the calculation of SAP wage types. For more information about creating customer-specific wage types, see Wage Type Concept.
