OHARUBP_PY_ABSIC_025 - Define Constant for Maximum Amount During Sickness

In this IMG activity, you store the maximum amount of absence pay that employees can receive per day.

Alternatively, you can use wage types to store the daily limit for absence payments (see Define Limits for Absence Payments).

The personnel calculation rule RU4C uses the limit that you define in this IMG activity to determinean employee's absence payment.

Assume a manager in your company has two employment contracts (two personnel assignments):

• The monthly salary of the first contract is RUB 9,000.

• The monthly salary of the second contract is RUB 21,000.

During the current month, and according to the manager's work schedule, he works for 20 days. He becomes sick and stays at home for two days.

The maximum value you set for determining sickness pay is RUB 15,000.

Instead of working out the average sick pay using the salary and number of days worked in the month in question, you use the maximum value that you enter in this IMG activity.

The system calculates sick pay as follows:

Maximum sick pay per day, as stated in this IMG activity = RUB 750
Average daily amount earned with first contract = RUB 9,000/30 days = RUB 300
Average daily amount earned with second contract = RUB 21,000/30 days = RUB 700

Based on this result, the manager receives the following amounts for the two days for which he is absent:
First contract: (RUB 300 x 2 days) RUB 600
Second contract: ([Daily limit - daily amount from first contract] x 2]) = ([RUB 750 - RUB 300] x 2]) = RUB 900

Note: The maximum you enter in this IMG activity only applies when the employee's salary exceeds this maximum. If the salary is lower than the value in this IMG activity, you use the employee's salary to determine the sick pay. However, the cumulated amount of sick pay for all employment contracts that an employee has is always limited by the maximum amount that you specify in this IMG activity.
