In this Customizing activity, you define normative work schedules for the employees in your company based on the official work schedules that the Ukrainian government defines. Normative work schedules apply to combinations of the following aspects:

The system uses normative work schedules, on which an employee's personal work schedule is based, to calculate some absences, payments, and other compensation.
You assign personal work schedules to employees in the Planned Working Time (0007) infotype.

The Calculating Days, Hours, and Absences by Normative Schedule (UAGAB) function uses the settings that you make in this Customizing activity to process absence payments. For more information, see the documentation for the Calculating Days, Hours, and Absences by Normative Schedule (UAGAB) function.

You have entered the personal and normative work schedules that you require in your company in Customizing for Payroll Ukraine under Day Processing of Time Data -> Reading Time Data -> Read Planned Working Time from Work Schedule.

Enter the normative work schedule rule that corresponds to an employee's personal work schedule, which you enter in the Work Schedule Rule field.

Assume that employees in your company work an average of 40 hours per week. This corresponds to the legally defined normative work schedule, NORM.

Depending on the number and scale of orders that your company receives, the actual working time of employees in your manufacturing department can vary greatly from day to day and from week to week. In total, however, the employees in your manufacturing department work the same number of hours per month, as specified by the normative work schedule.

To enable the system to calculate absences and other payments correctly for employees in your manufacturing department, you assign the normative work schedule NORM to the work schedule of those employees.
