OHARU_PS003 - Set Up Public Service Seniority
BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header data RFUMSV00 - Advance Return for Tax on Sales/PurchasesThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
This Customizing activity describes the settings that you make to calculate seniority of employees who hold public service positions. It enlists the standard Customizing activities that help you to configure the process according to your needs.
Based on the standard procedure for a seniority calculation, you define a link between individual selection criteria, selection rules, selection classes, a valuation model, and a selection process that the system uses to determine employment periods during which an employee has worked in the public sector company.
The Form T-2 GS (HRULT2_2004) uses the seniority data of an employee.
You have used Customizing activity Determine Status of Employee in Public Sector Organization to specify whether an employee in a public sector organization has a public service contract or a non-public service contract.
The standard system contains the following customizing data that you can use as a template for creating your own calculation process:
Data | Description | |
---|---|---|
Calculation Process | ||
RUPS | Public service seniority | |
Valuation Model | ||
RUPS | Public service seniority | |
Selection Classes | ||
RUCE | Current public service seniority | |
RUWB | Data on the public service seniority from Employment Book (0294) infotype | |
Selection Rules | ||
RUCE | Current public service seniority | |
RUW1 | Data on the public service seniority from Employment Book (0294) infotype | |
Selection Exits | ||
RUWB | Data on the public service seniority from Employment Book (0294) infotype | |
Selection Condition for Infotype | ||
RUCE | Current public service seniority |
You set up the valuation model and selection rules that the system uses to calculate the public service seniority in Customizing for Personnel Management, under Personnel Administration -> Evaluation Basis -> Calculation of Employment Period.
The following list of Customizing activities is relevant for setting up seniority calculation for public sector employess:
- Define Selection Condition for Infotype
Set up selection conditions for certain infotypes to read data about the employees' employment periods and classify them as public service seniority using Customizing activity Define Selection Criteria for Infotypes.
- Set up selection exists to enable the system to read data about the employees' employment periods via ABAP function modules specified in the selection exit definition. These function modules can read relevant customizing settings. They also access feature 33PBS (maintained in Customizing activity Determine Status of Employee in Public Sector Organization) in order to classify the employment period for public service seniority..
- Specify which employment period from the Employment Book (0294) infotype is relevant for the public sector.
- Specify the rules for each selection class that the system uses to determine which employee the system selects to calculate the public service seniority. Depending on the infotype used to select the seniority periods, specify the selection rule with selection exit or with selection condition for the infotype (see Define Selection Condition for Infotype above).
- Specify how the system evaluates employee data about employment periods that are relevant for the public service seniority. If required, you can create your own valuation models. You assign each selection class that you create to the valuation models.
- Create selection classes for your valuation models. The selection class groups together a set of selection rules that are evaluated in the same way.
- Use the RUPS calculation process to allow the system to calculate a public service seniority per employee.
- Since the result of the specified valuation model and calculation process must be in days, months, and years, use a rounding rule to change the seniority calculation to this format.
- Note: If you do not have process steps in the calculation process, assign the valuation model and rounding rules directly to the calculation process.
