For some absence types, the AB and ALFA collective agreements stipulate that it is required to pay employees according to the number of calendar days within a period of absence. The wage type obtains the number of calendar days for an absence during evaluation by the PAB function).

During part-day absence processing, if a part-day absence is entered, the number of calendar days in the Absencesinfotype (2001), then in the table AB , and the wage types are automatically set to zero. The expected number of days in the wage type is a value less than one (1), which represents the part of the working time covered by the absence.

Instead of recording separate absences for full days and part days using different counting rules, you can use the pre-delivered counting rule 002, which marks all days as valid. Therefore, during absence evaluation by the AB function, instead of calendar days (KT) you can refer to payroll days (RT).

For full-day absences, the counting rule returns values that are identical to the calendar days. For part-day absences that occur on a working day (on which working time is planned), the counting rule returns part of the day in the wage type.
