In this IMG activity, you define the valuation base and algorithms to be used for the valuation of absence wage types.

You cannot use the SAP international default valuation of time wage types (X015).

On the one hand, only few real valuation bases are provided in terms of which wage types form the base (wage types /0F*). On the other hand, these few bases are recalculated using several formulas that are often identical for different bases. Therefore, the solution for valuation of absences for the public sector consists of the following activities:

• Defining the valuation bases and percentage in the Wage Type Valuation table (T512W)

• Specifying the algorithm by defining the value in processing class 61

Before you make any changes, read the documentation for the calculation rule S41K and calculation rule S45K, which perform valuation, and the documention for processing class 61.

In the standard system, template absence wage types are set up for the AB agreement (General, Teachers, Employees working at school) .

1. Define the valuation bases and percentage in the Wage Type Valuation table (T512W).
2. Specify the algorithm to be used for absence valuation.
