SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you define the number of weekly working hours for different work schedules that represent 100% employment for the purpose of VACS (average utilization) calculation.

During VACS calculation, the employment percentage entered in the Planned Working Time infotype (0007) has to be adjusted according to the work schedule definition.

  • If a work schedule is defined as full-time, there is no need for adjustment.
  • If a work schedule is defined as part-time, the employment percentage entered in the Planned Working Time infotype (0007) has to be reduced.

The system determines whether the work schedule of an employee is full-time or part-time by comparing the number of weekly working hours defined in the Planned Working Time infotype (0007) (T508A-WOSTD) and the number of weekly hours that are considered as full-time within a company or organization.

You use this activity to define the number of hours per week that represent a full-time work schedule within your company or organization.

Because larger organizations define work schedules differently, that is, the number of hours worked per week by full-time employees can vary within an organization, you can enter different values for different statistic codes that you assign to period work schedule classes in the IMG activity Maintain Statistic Code for Work Schedule.

In the standard system, the work schedules delivered for the Swedish public sector refer to the period work schedules with statistic code 1 in the Period Work Schedule Valuation table (T5S1C_CE).

Statistic code 1 represents a full-time work schedule with a 40-hour week in the standard settings.

  1. Choose a statistic code.
  2. Enter the number of weekly working hours that represent a full-time work schedule within your organization or within different areas or departments.
  3. Save your entries.
