OHASE_AB017 - Absence economical category

In this step, you assign an absence economical category to each absence category.

The absence category is defined per absence type (field T554S-ABSTP).
The absence economical category is needed in the subsequent steps 'Absence exception rule' and 'Unpaid absence parameters'.

For leave accrual and statistics purposes, you want to differentiate between the absence types 'Military service' and 'Studies', but they should be counted together in terms of payment (both are variants of leave of absence, and should be joined when calculating the economical consequences in payroll). Hence, you assign two separate absence categories to the absence types, but assign the same economical absence category to the absence categories.

In the standard system, absence exception rules are set up according to standard sickness handling in Sweden.

SAP recommends that you do not change the absence exceptions rules in the standard system without having a good knowledge of what consequences the changes will have in the payroll system.
