SAP E-Book

In this step, you set the wage types that you want to use to transfer external wage components to Payroll. You enter the wage types in the wage type group External Payments. If necessary, you can change the text for the wage type and delimit the wage type's validity. In addition, you determine which wage types the system is permitted to transfer from the third-party system to the External Wage Components infotype (0579).

If the wage components you are transferring originate from another SAP system, you can display the original documents from the original system in infotype 0579. To be able to do so, you have to create an RFC-enabled function module, which displays the documents and prepares the document data. You specify the function module in the Function module field of the Permit Wage Types for the Interface activity.

The original document for an external wage component is called from infotype 0579 using the Original document pushbutton (F7). If you do not specify a function module to display the original document for a specific wage type in this IMG activity, the pushbutton will be deactivated for all external wage components with this wage type.

The standard system contains model wage types for your country in wage type group 0579.

When you define new wage types, use the model wage types as a guide.

Perform the activities in the specified sequence.

The following interface must be assigned to the RFC-enabled function module in the external application so that it can be called up:
