SAP E-Book

Labor Insurance (LI) bureau requires regular updates of LI insurance amounts that consist of basic salary and the average variable amounts of the previous months.

In this step, you define the basic pay wage types that are included
in LI average variable amounts. These copies are the wage types
you will use in further processing and which you can modify to
suit your requirements.

In this step, you also define the cumulation class for the basic pay
wage types that you have just created.

All SAP model wage types begin with a character. Your own wage
types must begin with a number.

  • Please use only the area specified for your own copied wage types. Do not copy wage types to the area reserved for SAP standard wage types.
  • SAP recommends that you only create new cumulation classes in the above customer area, as entries that are maintained in the standard SAP system could be overwritten when the release is next updated.
  • SAP recommends that you do not delete or change any of the cumulation classes that are contained in the standard SAP system as this could lead to errors when you try to run payroll accounting.

To create new basic pay wage types by copying sample wage type
from the standard system, proceed as follows:

  1. Note the specifications required for the relevant wage types.
  2. Make a copy of the selected sample wage types.
  3. Edit the wage type to suit your requirements (modify the long and
short texts of the copy wage types, if necessary).
  4. Flag the Test field if you want to carry out a test run.
  5. Check that all the new wage types displayed on the list are copied
    correctly.
  6. The wage types are now copied. A list is generated logging the
    changes to all tables affected.

To check and if necessary, change the assignment of the wage type,
proceed as follows:

  1. Select the wage type and click on the details button.
The processing, cumulation and evaluation classes of the selected
    wage type are displayed.
  2. You can define the different cumulation classes required.
  3. Check (change assignment if necessary) the following Cumulation
    Class for wage type /108:

Cumulation Class 8 - Total LI variable amount

Marked/checked - belongs to LI variable amount
Space - does not belong to LI variable amount
  4. Save your entries.
