Vendor Master (General Section)
This documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this step, you define the time wage types that occurs before
cutoff dates and non-taxable (lower than overtime taxable limit).
These copies are the wage types you will use for further
processing and which you can modify to suit your requirements.
In this step, you also define the processing class for the wage
type that you have just created.
All SAP model wage types begin with a character. Your own wage
types must begin with a number.
- Please use only the area specified for your own copied wage types. Do not copy wage types to the area reserved for SAP standard wage types.
- SAP recommends that you only create new processing classes in the above customer area, as entries that are maintained in the standard SAP system could be overwritten when the release is next updated.
- SAP recommends that you do not delete or change any of the processing classes that are contained in the standard SAP system as this could lead to errors when you try to run payroll accounting.
To create new basic pay wage types by copying sample wage type from
the standard system, proceed as follows:
-
Note the specifications required for the relevant wage types.
-
Make a copy of the selected sample wage types.
-
Edit the wage type to suit your requirements (modify the long and
short texts of the copy wage types, if necessary).
-
Flag the Test field if you want to carry out a test run.
-
Check that all the new wage types displayed on the list are copied
correctly.
-
The wage types are now copied. A list is generated logging the
changes to all tables affected.
To check and if necessary, change the assignment of the wage
type, proceed as follows:
-
Select the wage type and click on the details button.
The processing, cumulation and evaluation classes of the selected
wage type are displayed.
-
You can define the different processing classes required.
-
Check (change assignment if necessary) the following Processing
Classes:
Processing Class 65 - Distribute overtime related wage
Assign to :
0 - For not overtime hourly wage
e.g. OT meal allowance (model wage type MOA1)
