In this Customizing activity, you can define the periodicity the system will garnish the regular deduction to be taken from employee wages in order to fulfill a child support debt.

You use this Customizing activity if you want the system to take into consideration how often employee must be garnished to satisfy the payment for child support.

To define the payment frequency, the following options can be defined:

Execute this Customizing activity and define the value of the EIWOD (E-IWO EVALUATOR: DEDUCTION UNIT CONFIG)configuration option by making the corresponding entry in table view Customer Values for Configuration Options(V_T5F99K2) according to the needs of your company. The possible values are as follows:

  • 3 Payroll Area Periodicity Deduction: This is the default option. The amount in this deduction unit will be collected according to the Payroll Area employee has been assigned to.

Example:if employee is under US01 Payroll Area, which has pay period defined as bi-weekly payroll, the payment should be satisfied for each bi-weekly period.

  • 4 Monthly Deduction:This deduction unit will collect the amount in a monthly period. Regardless your payroll area periodicity, when this option is set, the payroll will always take into consideration the monthly period.
  • 5 Weekly Deduction:This deduction unit will collect the amount in a weekly period. Regardless your payroll area periodicity, when this option is set, the payroll will always take into consideration the weekly period.

The amount fixed will be paid according to the periodicity set in this activity.

Note: If the employee is paid on a weekly basis, then the monthly amount will be multiplied by 12, then divided by 52. As a result, a fixed amount will be deducted for each pay period. However, the amounts deducted from month to month may differ, depending on the number of pay periods contained in a month.

Enter one of the values, then activate it. If you choose to maintain the default value, no activation is required.

The validation type you define in this activity will be available to be modified, as needed.
