OHAU02GD - Configure Assignment of Physical Paths to Logical Path for e-IWO files

In this Customizing activity, you make the necessary settings to enable the system to read, save and archive the e-IWO files in the system. This configuration defines from where the system will read files, and to where it will save them. It defines the relationship between logical path and physical path in the application server file system.

It is recommended that you create a new folder in your application server to be used only for test files. It is strongly advised that you DO NOT use any folder that contains system files or any sensitive data files.

Execute this Customizing activity and perform the steps described below:

1. ,,In the Logical File Path Definitionstructure node, choose the HR_US_DIR_EIWO option. This Logical File Path is delivered by default in the system.

2.,,After selecting the new entry, double click structure Assignment of Physical Paths to Logical Path.

3,,Insert a new entry according to the operating system you have in your application server (e.g. Unix, Windows).

Your configuration should look similar to the examples below:

Unix

Syntax Group ,,Physical Path ,,

Unix ,,/tmp/eiwo/ ,,

Windows

Syntax Group ,,Physical Path ,,

Windows ,,C:\temp\eiwo\

,,

Note:It is required that the Physical Pathends with .

4. Save your entries.

Additional settings to archive loaded IWO files

Execute this Customizing activity and perform the steps described below:


1. In the Logical File Path Definitionstructure node, choose the HR_US_DIR_EIWO_ARCHIVE( Archive of loaded files of HCM US E-IWO) option. This Logical File Path is delivered by default in the system.


2. After selecting the new entry, double click structure Assignment of Physical Paths to Logical Path.


3. Insert a new entry according to the operating system you have in your application server (For ex: Unix, Windows).


4. Enter the following data:

  • Syntax Group: The operating system of your application server.
  • Physical Path: The path to the directory where you want to store the archived files followed by. This directory must be already created in the application server.

Example:


Syntax Group
: Unix
Physical Path: /tmp/eiwo/archive/
Note: It is required that the Physical Path ends with .


5. Save your entries.
