OHAU1045 - Maintain percentage deductions for retrocalculation
PERFORM Short Reference Vendor Master (General Section)This documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this step you determine how percentage deductions are to be handled during retrocalculation. To do this, you must assign processing class values to deduction wage types.
Two changes to percentage deductions are possible:
- the percentage calculation basis has been changed retroactively
- the percentage rate has been modified.
You need to determine whether the percentage deduction amount should be calculated using the old or the new basis amount during recalculation.
If the old basis is used, you must determine whether the difference between old and new base is to be transferred to the next payroll period.
A deduction wage type is calculated as a percentage rate of the gross amount. The gross amount is increased retroactively.
You want the deduction amount to remain unchanged in the retroaction period. The calculation is to be based on the old gross amount and the difference in earnings is to be carried forward to the next period.
The deduction wage type will need to be assigned value 5 from processing class 83.
It is important to determine all deductions that are calculated as a percentage.
To ensure correct processing during retrocalculation please set up the following processing class for percentage deduction wage types:
Processing class 83 Calculation of percentage deductions during retrocalculation
- eg: 1 Take old basis, forget difference
- 2 Take new basis for calculating deductions
- 3 Take new basis if new basis > old basis
