In this step you set up how amounts are estimated.

When making estimates, fractions have to be estimated to divide up payments that belong to two accounting periods. This can be done on the basis of calendar days, working days or working hours. You need to define an employee modifier (accruals basis) for this.

In your company, estimates for wage earners have to be made on the basis of work days and estimates for salaried employees have to be made on the basis of calendar days. In this case you would set the value of the accruals basis modifier for wage earners to 'A' and for salaried employees to 'K'.

  1. Determine how the accruals basis modifier should be set.
  2. Copy the standard personnel calculation rule UMOD to the personnel calculation rule ZMOD or use the copy created in an earlier step.
  3. Define the decision tree as required.
  4. Replace the call of personnel calculation rule UMOD in schema UT00 with the name of the copied personnel calculation rule that you just created.

Carry out this step in direct consultation with the team responsible for setting up the payroll modifiers.
