In this Customizing activity, you can determine how the system calculates an employee’s social insurance seniority. The system uses an employee’s social insurance seniority to determine the level of social insurance payments, for example, sick pay, that employees receive.

You can use the following parameters to determine which calculation process or date type the system uses to calculate social insurance seniority:

  • DEF_SOCGR_PROCE
Determines which calculation process the system uses to determine an employee’s social insurance seniority.
The standard system contains the Social Insurance Seniority (UA03) calculation process, which you can use as the basis for creating your own, customer-specific calculation process.
  • UASI0-DATE_TYPE
Determines which Date Type in the Date Specifications (0041) infotype the system uses when your hire employees. The system uses the date type for hiring employees to determine an emyployee's seniority on a given date.
The system uses this parameter onlyif no value is assigned to the DEF_SOCGR_PROCE parameter.
  • DEF_LIMIT_MONTHS
Determines the number of prior full calendar months for which the system determines an employee's limited social insurance seniority, which is used for making a decision on applying additional limitations on SI payments within the seniority calculation process defined by the DEF_LIMIT_PROCE parameter.
The standard system does not contain any value for this parameter. If the value is not defined (or it has an empty value), the number of months used by the system by default for this purpose is 12.
  • DEF_LIMIT_PROCE
Determines the calculation process which the system uses to determine an employee's social insurance seniority during the period defined by the parameter DEF_LIMIT_MONTHS and used for making a decision on applying additional limitations on SI payments.
The standard system does not contain any value for this parameter. If the value is not defined (or it has an empty value), the process determined by the parameter DEF_SOCGR_PROCE is used for the calculation of limited seniority.

For more information, see the documentation for the parameters in the Customizing activity.

Enter the calculation process or date type that you want the system to use to calculate social insurance seniority, or the calculation process that you want the system to use to calculate limited social insurance seniority.
