In this Customizing activity, you enter the vacation wage types that are included in the average base amount calculation for sick leave and pregnancy leave (wage type /219).

An employee is on vacation from February 25, 2012 to March 4, 2012. In this case, this vacation is calculated in February.

The vacation for the period from February 25 to February 29 is included in the average for February.

The vacation for the period from March 1 to March 4 is included in the average for March.

In this activity, you define the wage type M413 for vacation for the previous month as follows:

SB,,M413,,Vacation from prev.months,,01.07.2007,,31.12.9999

In this case, when the average base amount for sick leave is calculated in March, the wage type for vacation for the previous month (M413) is generated and its amount increases the average base amount for sick leave and pregnancy leave.

This amount also participates in the reduction of average base amounts for sick leave (wage type /218) and accidents (wage type /216).
