OHAUA_REP_GENT_008 - Set Organization Assignment Check

You use this Customizing activity if you want to ensure that an employee's organizational assignment is valid and complete when you execute a personnel action, for example, when you hire new employees.

Note: You use this Customizing activity only if you use the Legal Properties (1656) infotype. If you use this infotype, you must turn this check on.

To activate this check, turn on the configuration option UAGBI (SWITCH ON/OFF IT0001 GROUP CHECKING).

In this case, the system checks the following aspects of an employee's organizational assignment when you execute a personnel action:

• Whether the employee is assigned to an organizational unit other than 99999999

• Whether the head unit to which the employee is assigned exists in the system

• Whether the detached subdivision (where applicable) is assigned to a head unit

• Whether the employee is assigned to only one organizational unit at a given point in time

The system determines this aspect by checking whether the employee has only one grouping value for a detached subdivision or head unit at a given point in time.
