In this Customizing activity, you store the privileges and other deductions that apply to a particular tax class.

This Customizing activity is divided into the following parts:

  • On the overview screen, you enter basic data about tax privileges and other deductions.
  • On the details screen, you enter data about each of the tax privileges entered on the overview screen.
Based on the data you enter for a given tax privilege, the rule V_7RUT3_UA-CYCLE processes the tax privileges, how they are applied, and checks them against any additional conditions.

The standard system contains the most commonly used tax privileges.

  1. On the overview screen, you enter the tax privileges that you need to process for your employees.
  2. To make settings related to how each of the tax privileges are calculated, select one of the tax privileges and choose Goto -> Details.
In the header area of the details screen, you can enter a tax class. The tax classes you enter form the input help in the Tax Privileges infotype (0299). The tax class defined directly in the tax privilege is the primary tax class for this privilege. See also the Customizing activity Maintain Connected Tax Classes for Privileges.
  3. In the Treatmentgroup box, you enter the wage type that stores the amount of the tax privilege. This is a formed wage type that the function UATAX uses to process the calculation rules. You determine the calculation method (for example, annual or monthly) that is used as part of the payroll rules during the payroll run. Function UATAX uses TP priority to build the sequence of the tax privilege processing.
  4. You use one of the three fields in the Value of Tax Privilege group box to determine the actual value of the tax privilege. See the Customizing activity Define Constant Income Tax for Social Privileges for income taxes that are based on MROT .
  5. You can restrict the level of a particular tax privilege by entering either the number of MROTor an amount in the Limits on Privilege group box. See the Customizing activity Define Constant for Income Tax Social Privileges Threshold where MROT bases are maintained for social privileges for income tax.
Note If you do not enter a value in the Limits on Privilegegroup box, the value of the tax privilege is unlimited.
  6. In the Processing Rules group box, you enter the rule and parameters that the function UATAX calls to calculate each tax privilege.
