In this step, you maintain constants that determine whether to precollect money from an employee for a benefit beyond the employee's termination date. You also define which rule to use to determine the benefit plan coverage end date.

The following values are available for these constants:

blank - no termination calculations are carried out; in other words, processing remains as you currently have it defined
non-blank value - if current pay period is a terminating period, execute the termination calculations using the Infotype 0000 (Actions) end date to determine the coverage end date

  1. Look at how the constants for health plans, insurance plans and spending account plans are currently defined.
  2. Make changes if necessary.
