SAP E-Book

The purpose of this section is to provide an overview of the distribution of taxes in a concurrent employment scenario.

For each person, taxes are calculated jointly for all personnel assignments within a tax company. After calculation, the results are distributed to the individual RT tables.

The system default distribution rule is /3xx 'US tax: distribute by taxable'. This rule distributes the results by pro-rating, based on the taxable wages.

If this distribution does not meet the needs of your organization, you can change it as outlined below.

Go to the activity Assign Distribution Rule and Target Wage Type to a Source Wage Type, (by following the menu path Concurrent Employment -> Distribution of Person-Related Wage Types for Concurrent Employment) and assign a distribution rule to each U.S. tax wage type that you do not want to be distributed by taxable wages.

You can use any SAP or customer-specific distribution rule, in particular the pre-delivered distribution rules /6xx 'US Tax: distr. by reportable'.

Note: If you want to use a customer-specific rule based on customer wage types that must be derived from the tax result, you must also execute the IMG activity Maintain schema UTAC.

IMPORTANT: In each case, the source wage type must be identical to the target wage type. U.S. Tax wage types not listed will be distributed using the default method.
