OHAUTX00390 - Enable Additional Medicare Tax Calculation in NAMC adjustments

In the standard system, the Additional Medicare Tax(/TM2) and Federal Railroad Employer Unemployment Tax(/TM4) wage types are used to calculate an additional 0,9% Medicare tax on the portion of wages, self-employment and railroad retirement income that exceeds a certain threshold ($200,000 for individuals, $250,000 for spouses filing jointly, and $125,000 for spouses filing separately). However, the system does not calculate these wage types when you make entries in the Payroll Results Adjustment(221) infotype with Adjustment - US (ADJT) or Out-of-seq. adjust. w/o tax calc.(YANA) subtypes. In addition, the system does not calculate these adjustments when the TX EE Medicare Tax(/405) and TX ER Medicare Tax(/406) wage types are not processed. This is the current system behavior in order to avoid incorrectness when BSI calculation is not taken into account. Such behavior avoids incorrect results, since /TM2 and /TM4 are only calculated by SAP.

In this Customizing activity, you define if you want the calculation of /TM2and /TM4wage types while processing the non-authorized manual check(NAMC) adjustments. You do so by defining the value of configuration option ADTNA(Additional Medicare Calculation on NAMC).

In the standard system, the use of the Additional Medicare Calculation on NAMC is disabled.

Execute this Customizing activity and define the value of the ADTNAconfiguration option by making the corresponding entry in table view Customer Values for Configuration Options(V_T5F99K2) according to the needs of your company. The possible values are as follows:

• 'On': Enable adt medicare calculation on NAMC.

• 'Off': Disable adt medicare calculation on NAMC.
