In this Customizing activity, you can define the following date types to store sickness related dates on the Date Specifications (0041) infotype:

  • 'CO': Max Date of Sickness Period
You use this date type to specify the max date obtained from the NAV, "Ny Arbeids- og Velferdsforvaltning," (In English, "Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration"). This date is compared to the max date generated by the system. The max date generated by the system and the max date specified with date type 'CO' on the Date Specifications (0041) infotype can be seen in the ALV output of the follow-up report (RPCRMBV0_PRINT) for comparison.
  • 'CM': Max date for Maternity Leave
You can use this date type to specify the max date for maternity leave. The max date specified with date type 'CM' on the Date Specifications (0041) infotype can be seen in the ALV output of the follow-up report (RPCRMBV0_PRINT) for comparison.
  • 'CA': Override Max Date, Date indicator 'CA'
If you specify the Max Date of Sickness Period using the NAV-specific date type 'CO' on the Date Specifications (0041) infotype, the system considers these values while calculating reimbursement. However, if you maintain the maximum date for sickness period using the date type CA, the system overrides values specified using date type CO, and uses the date type that you specify using the date type CA.
  • 'CB': (Override Max Date Maternity Leave), Date indicator 'CB'
If you specify the Max Date of Maternity Leave using the NAV-specific date type 'CM' on the Date Specifications (0041) infotype, the system considers these values while calculating reimbursement. However, if you maintain the maximum date for maternity leave using the date type CA, the system overrides values specified using date type CM, and uses the date type that you specify using the date type CB.
  • 'SS': start Date of Paid Sickness for New Hires
You use this date type to specify the date before which sick leave is reimbursed by NAV rather than paid by the employer. The date type is relevant for new hires at your company who start their employment immediately after their employment with their previous employer. We recommend to specify the date as the hire date + a maximum of four weeks.
  • 'SX': End date of 4-week Unpaid Sickness Period for Job Starters
You use this date type to record the end date of the 4-week period for which job starters do not receive sick pay. We recommend that you specify the date that is 4 weeks after the employee's hiring date on the Date Specifications (0041) infotype.
If the employee's sick leave ends after this period, the system uses this date to split the sick leave period into unpaid and paid parts.

Example

An employee, who has no previous job experience, is going on sick leave from 20.01.2008 to 16.02.2008 (absence record is entered on the Absence (2001) infotype). You enter 29.01.2008 with date type 'SX' date' on on the Date Specifications (0041) infotype to mark the date when the 4 week period, for which the employee does not receive sick pay, ends.

The system splits the absence period as follows:

20.01.2008 to 28.01.2008 Unpaid

29.01.2008 to 13.02.2008 AP period (Arbeidsgiverperiode), sick pay paid by Employer

14.02.2008 to 16.02.2008 TP period (Trygdekkasseperiode), sick pay reimbursed by NAV.

  1. Check the date types that are already maintained in the system.
  2. Create your own date type with a description for the same.
