The decision tree which is delivered with the system as standard setup can be used as an example.

The example tree contains two groups 0001 and 0002:

  1. 0001: Active employees (PERSG = 1) that do not have (PERSK <> V1), as well as all employees belonging to employee groups other than '1'.
  2. 0002: Active employees (PERSG = 1) with (PERSK = V1).

You will see in the next activity of this IMG node that these groups of employees will get their holiday pays on different dates.

Group 0001 gets both the regular holiday pay and the pay for the 5.holiday week in period 6. Both holiday types use salary deduction.

Group 0002 gets the holiday pay for the first 4 weeks in period 4, whereas the pay for the 5. week is paid out in period 5.

Make sure you perform both activities and in the order in which they appear.

This IMG node consists of two activies. Make sure you perform both activities and in the order in which they appear. The first activity involves defining a holiday pay employee groups using a decision tree of a feature. The parameters and settings for the holiday allowance calculation are set in the second part.

Maintain feature for holiday table key:

Employees should be grouped based on in what period they are supposed get their holiday pay. The decision tree in this feature provides means for defining the groupings. Each group is assigned a unique 4-character key. This key is to be used when defining the dates and other settings for this group (this is done in the second part of this IMG node).

The groups can be identified based on organizational assignment fields, as shown in the feature structure.

Vacation allowance calculation:

The view that appears when you enter this activity should contain as many records as there were groups defined in the previous activity. You should therefore delete the records that are delivered in the standard setup, and create new entries for the groups you have defined. Be aware that the from date should be the first day when the new holiday allowance solution is to be used. The variable keys are the group key taken from the leaf node of the decision tree and a textual description.

Further explanations to the input fields are available by selecting a field and pressing the 'F1' button.
