OHAXDTSEPA040 - Replace Purpose Code

In this Customizing activity, you can replace the previously determined purpose code for the data medium exchange procedure.

You can use feature XDMEP for this. The feature is called in the preliminary data medium exchange program. For a payment, the program uses the associated wage type to read the table view Assignment of Purpose Code to Wage Type and then calls the feature.

You usually adopt the purpose code determined by the preliminary purpose code. However, in some cases it may be necessary for you to replace the determined purpose code with another, depending on organizational data (for example, Employment Status (STAT2), Company Code (BUKRS), or Personnel Area (WERKS) ).

In Germany, in some cases the purpose code SALA (wage/salary) can be replaced with the purpose code PENS (pension/PS pension), if the payment is made to a pensioner or a public sector pensioner.

1. Process the feature to determine the purpose code.
2. If required, make the necessary adjustments to replace the determined purpose code.
