OHBEN1178 - Activate Health Care FSA Limit for Multiple Plans

In this Customizing activity, you activate the system control for limiting employee deductions according to the law for multiple Health Care FSA plans.

Effective for taxable years after December 31, 2012, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act imposes a limit on annual contributions to a Health Care FSA.

SAP delivers the annual maximum benefits and contribution limits in the fourth quarter of each year. You can check the limit in Customizing activity Check Health Care FSA Limit.

Run this Customizing activity and define the value of the HCFSA configuration option by making the corresponding entry in table view V_T599K2 according to the needs of your company. The possible values are:

• On: The system applies the limit for annual contributions to a Health Care FSA.

• Off: The system does NOT apply the limit for annual contributions to a Health Care FSA.

Note

This entry does not exist in the standard system in table view V_T599K2, it must be created by the customer. If it does not exist, the system behavior is equal to the value 'Off' described above.

If you choose to apply the limit, you must identify each Health Care FSA plans for which you want to apply this limit by selecting the Health Care FSA Plan checkbox in Customizing activity Assign Spending Account Attributes.
