OHBEN7425 - Define Calculation Basis Parameters

In this step, you define the calculation basis parameters for the corporate pension plans. These parameters are used in formulas for calculating contribution of current period, which is the basis for calculating the retirement benefits.

You need to create one basis parameter definition for each combination of a corporate pension plan and a calculation group. This parameter is represented by CALBAS in the system.

You have defined the calculation groups in Define Contribution Calculation Groups

• You can create only one calculation basis parameter for a specific calculation group.

• You can select only one calculation basis type for one calculation basis parameter.

• If you make any change on the fields apart from the Key Date field, entries in the Define Calculation Basis Parameters for calculating basis payment or standard payment for premium change accordingly

• You are not allowed to edit the entries related to the Defined Contribution pension plans in this step

1. Select the calculation basis type for a combination of corporate pension plan and calculation group.

You can define the calculation basis parameters as the following types. For different types of parameters, the system retrieves data from different sources:

• Basic Pay: The standard solution retrieves the wage types from the following infotypes:

Basic Pay (0008)

Recurring Payments/Deductions (0014)

Additional Payments (0015)

Overseas pay JP (0560)

You need to save first and then specify the relevant infotype, sub-type and wage types in the Basic Pay Data Source tab.

• Monthly Standard Compensation Amount: The system retrieves the monthly standard compensation amount from the SI Premium Data JP infotype (0141), subtype 2 Employees' pension

• Points: The system retrieves the points value from the Benefit Point System Management JP infotype (0890)

• Fixed Amounts: The system retrieves the fixed amount which you enter for the specific calculation factor parameter

• Others:

To enable other data source as calculation basis parameters, you need to create the implementations using the following BAdIs:

For basis contribution of current period, BAdI: Modify Contribution of Current Period

For basis payment or standard payment, BAdI: Calculate Basis Payment/Standard Payment

Specify the key date for data retrieval. If the key date you choose is related to the fiscal year, the system refers to the start month of the fiscal year which you define in Define Corporate Pension Plans.
