In this step, you define the employee eligibility groupings and determine how employees are allocated to these groupings. You do this in order to assign different eligibility rules to different groups of employees for different request types.

You will define the eligibility rules in the later implementation step Define Benefit Request Type Eligibility Rule and the eligibility rule attribute in the step Define Benefit Request Type Eligibility Rule Attributes.

If you do not want to further differentiate between employees within one request type for the purposes of eligibility, you still need to define one eligibility grouping in order to complete eligibility customizing.

Employees who are over 50 years old are eligible for the group 1, below 50 eligible for the group 2.

You determine how employee are allocated to eligibility grouping using the feature REEGR.

For information on the structure and use of the feature, choose Goto -> Documentation from within the decision tree. For additional general information about features, see the SAP Library (Human Resources -> HR Tools -> Features Editor).

We provide you the user exit HR_BPS_FILL_PME97 if you need to add new fields to the structure CI_PME97.
