In this step, you can edit the Default Values for Contract Elements feature (CONTR).

The feature determines default values to fill fields of the Contract Elements infotype (0016).

In Personnel Administration, the infotype stores an employees actual contractual data. You can use the infotype in Recruitment to store data on an applicant's future employment contract (if you intend to offer the applicant a contract) and to create employment contracts.

You can administrate the default values separately, depending on whether you use the infotype in Personnel Administration or Recruitment.

You can also define default values for the following fields of the Contract Elements infotype (0016):

  • Contract type
  • Continued pay
  • Sick pay supplement
  • Probationary period
  • Notice period for ER
  • Notice period for EE

You want Occupational train. to be the default contract type in the Contract Elements infotype (0016) for the Trainee applicant range.

You must have defined the notice periods and contract types in Customizing for Personnel Administration. For information on how to do so, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Personnel Admininistration under Contractual and Corporate Agreement → Contract Elements → Determine periods of notice Determine periods of notice andDefine contract types.

The feature contains model entries in the standard SAP System. The model data entered in the decision tree takes account of separate processing of default values according to whether you use the Contractual Elements infotype (0016) in Personnel Administration or Recruitment.

We recommend you to use the model entries as a guide. See also the documentation on the feature.

  2. Modify the feature to suit your requirements.
