OHEGTI110 - Define Time Types
General Material Data CPI1466 during BackupThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this IMG activity you define the time types used by your company. Time types represent a semantic grouping of duration periods.
The standard SAP system contains common time types as standard entries for a personnel subarea grouping. These standard entries are generally sufficient for day to day processing within payroll.
Make new entries only if you need time types different to the ones provided in the standard system.
- Decide which additional time types are required.
- Create your own entries, using the time type "planned time" as a model.
You should perform all your entries in the name range provided for customers. Otherwise, they may be
overwritten by a release upgrade. Changes to SAP standard entries are considered as changes to the program. The name ranges for customers begin with Y, Z, G, or a special character.
If you introduce the management of working time (employee time recording) now or at a later stage, your entries should correspond to the implementation guidelines in
Employee time recording.
