OHEGTI370 - Compensate Overtime
General Material Data BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header dataThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this step, you define how overtime wage types are compensated.
If employees work overtime, you want the basic wage to be compensated with time off in lieu and an overtime bonus to be paid.
- You need to have defined the wage types for overtime.
(See also Create Wage Types)
- You need to have generated wage types for overtime using function GWT.
(See also Perform Wage Type Generation)
The value of the overtime compensation type in the
Overtime infotype (2005) determines how employees are compensated for overtime. The standard SAP system uses the following specifications:
- 1: Compensation
- 2: Basic wage compensated with time off and bonuses
- 3: Compensation
To use the overtime compensation types mentioned above, you do not need to modify the personnel calculation schema; you only need to specify the overtime compensation type in the Overtime infotype.
- Clarify whether you require additional overtime compensation types, and define them accordingly.
- If you have defined new overtime compensation types, specify the personnel calculation rules that are to be used to compensate the overtime. Copy personnel calculation rule TC00 to ZC00, and make any necessary changes in the copied version.
- In ZC00, change the name of the personnel calculation rule that function POVT calls for processing.
Note that function POVT must be active in the personnel calculation schema. Overtime compensation cannot be performed without this function.
Never deactivate function CUMBT. If you do, wage types generated in the personnel calculation schema cannot be transferred.
