Define Insurance Plan Option Jumping Setting (FLEX)

This IMG activity controls employee Insurance Plan option jumping for the new benefits year, according to currently enroled Insurance Plans. In this step, you define the permitted benefits plan options available for employees in the coming benefits year, based on their current benefits selections.

If you do not perform this step, or you do not set the Opt.Chk indicator (see Preconditions), no restrictions will exist for Insurance Plan options in the new benefits year, and all possible Insurance Plan options will be valid for eligible employees. ,,

You have set the Opt.Chkindicator for each Insurance Plan where you wish to run an option jumping check, in the IMG step Define Flexible Benefits Insurance Plan Attributes (FLEX) .

Setting this indicator means that the system will check the entries you create in thisIMG step, settings that define the permitted plan options for each Insurance Plan in the coming benefits year.

1. Execute this IMG activity and select the appropriate benefits area when prompted.
2. The table view Plan Option Jump for Insurance Plan: Overview is displayed.
3. For each Insurance Plan where you wish to define jumping options, create a new entry and maintain the following fields:
1. Benefit Plan - Four character identifier for the Insurance Plan
2. S.Opt- Current Insurance Plan options selected
3. T.Opt -Insurance Plan options you wish to create for the coming benefits year
4. Valid From- Insurance Plan start date
5. End Date -Insurance Plan end date
4. Save your entries.

You wish to define option jumping settings for a Life Assurance Plan (with the identifier LA01), offered to employees in a given benefits area for the coming benefits year. You have already set the Opt.Chk indicator in the IMG Step Define Flexible Benefits Insurance Plan Attributes (FLEX).

The employees for whom you wish to define option jumping settings are those currently enrolled in a Life Assurance Plan with coverage of four-times salary. Your organisation has decided that for the given benefits area, all employees currently enrolled in a Life Assurance Plan with coverage of four-times salary will only be able to choose the following life assurance options in the coming benefits year: two-, three-, four- or five-times salary.

Thus, the Life Assurance Plan Option Jumping Settings you need to maintain in this step are:

To define these jumping settings, you make the following table entries:

• Benefit Plan - LA01

• S.Opt - 4X salary

• T.Opt - 2X salary, 3X salary, 4X salary, 5X salary

• Valid From - Start date of coming benefits year

• End Date - End date of coming benefits year
