SAP E-Book

In this step, you assign your customer wage types to cumulation wages to determine which wage types should be processed for the P11D Form.

As of the tax year 2000, the attribute evaluation class 11 for wage types is no longer relevant for the P11D and P11D (b) Forms.

Before maintaining any entries in this view cluster, you must run the report Conversion of Evaluation Class 11(RPUTBFG0). By running this report, any wage types which have the attribute evaluation class 11 are automatically converted into this view cluster (VC_596A_D) with the corresponding wage type to cumulation wage type assignment.

Therefore, you only need to enter data in this step if you would like to maintain additional wage types not yet in this view cluster (after running the conversion report). Or if you need to make changes to the existing data.

You only need to perform the steps described below, if you would like to add additional wage types to cumulation wage types, which are not currently in this view cluster or you need to make changes to existing data. To create new entries:

  1. Choose Subapp.P11Dand then select Assign WTs to cumulation WTs (customer).
  2. Choose New entries.
  3. In the field Cumulative WT,choose the relevant cumulation wage type from the list provided.
  4. In the field Wage type, enter the wage type you would like to have calculated into the P11D Form.
  5. Enter the relevant start and end dates.
  6. In the field Arith. Symbol, select whether the wage type is a deduction or allowance (negative or positive).
  7. Save your entries.

There are two different types of cumulation wage types, namely cumulation wage types with three digits (xxx) (final calculation figures) and four digits (xxxx) (used to arrive at the value of xxx cumulation wage types).

Amongst the cumulation wage types with four digits, there are also two distinctions:

  • Cumulation wage types (xxx1), which represent an amount from allowance wage types on the P11D Form.

  • Cumulation wage types (xxx2), which represent an amount from deduction wage types on the P11D Form.

These cumulation wage types have a direct correlation to the individual fields on the P11D and P11D(b) Forms. For example, on the P11D Form 2000-2001section B Description of asset, the field Cost / Market value corresponds to the cumulation wage type 0011. The field Amount made from which tax deducted corresponds to the cumulation wage type 0012. The difference between the cumulation wage types 0011 and 0012 equals the field Cash equivalentcumulation wage type 001.

Under normal circumstances, you should only maintain wage types for (xxxx) cumulation wage types. The system automatically calculate the (xxx) cumulation wage types. However, if you assign wage types to (xxx) cumulation wage types, the procedure as described above will be overwritten by the entries that you have entered. Furthermore, if the appropriate cumulation wage type with four digits are available, they will also no longer be considered. Therefore, SAP recommends that you do not allocate wage types to (xxx) cumulation wage types that must be calculated from (xxxx) cumulation wage types.

However, in the event that (xxx) cumulation wage types are not calculated from (xxxx) cumulation wage types (such as on section D from the P11D Form Living Accommodation, you can maintain the (xxx) cumulation wage type if the data entered in this view cluster is not up-to-date.
